This is crazy. Out of all honesty i think that it is great that technology has allowed this man to "see" again, but it scares me a little bit. By the way the world is going in 20 years obesity is going to be the main cause of death because by than were going to have robots doing all of the physical work. I think technology is great and im really happy that this man has a chance to see again.. but it worries me.
This is awesome. To me, a lot of the new techology today is made to make tasks easier, like krystine said it makes people fat but this is totally different and is a great idea.
I agree with Krystine as well. There are so many great ideas that technology has helped us with. This video was a great example. Im still amazed that we come up with new and improved ideas all the time. As Krystine said, it is scary to think about, especially with the whole obesity situation. I guess we will have to see.
I always like seeing things like this, when technology is used in such a way that it betters mankind tremendously. It still amazes me that people can understand the brain enough to actually make someone blind, see again. Or even the new prostetic arms and hands being controled by the brain now and not just remote controls. Just think, someone might only have their brain someday and when their body doesnt work anymore, they can just get a new one, a fake one but still be controlled by their own brain.
This is a prime example of advancements being made in the technological field. This guy was pretty much a test for the tongue vision, and turning out to be successful, they are planning on improving. It's overwhelming when you think about how rapidly things are moving. Will we ever hit a plateau?
All students taking any type of flex-credit course must participate in the Current Events Blog. You are expected to discuss the articles and videos as well as comment or debate with other students. You must comment at a minimum of twice a week and correct grammar and spelling is expected. The blog will be updated Sunday nights or early Monday mornings. Depending on the discussions I may add additional articles later in the week. I will try to include current events that are important and relevant to your lives. If you find an article or video you would like me to post on the blog please email me at rgallwitz@gmail.com with the link.

This is so amazing! It's hard to believe you can put something on your tongue and your brain can read a visual message. Research is awesome!
