They say pictures are worth a thousand words. Please look over the devastating images from Haiti. We are very fortunate to live in Ohio where our biggest natural disaster is too much snow.

I knew what happened in Haiti was extremely unfortunate, but when I viewed those pictures, I saw how devestating the earthquake really was. Those pictures are showing us what there going through, and how fortunate we all are. We have buildings than can descently with stand a earthquake, with of coarse some damage. I hope that America is able to get more support and food efforts to the individuals in Haiti.

Of course I knew what happened in Haiti, but I never realized how serious this situation really is. Seeing those pictures made me see how much damage that earthquake really caused and it's terrible. So many people have lost their family and everything they owned. They can barely survive without the support of others. It made me really happy to see that we were helping them and I hope we can assist them farther.

After visiting Haiti my freshman year with my mission's group at church I feel that it made me view things a lot different and take what we have for granted. I couldn't imagine things being any worse until an earthquake had hit there. It was hard enough for them to survive before the earthquake hit, let alone now. After seeing those pictures I can only imagine what is going through everyone's heads and how they are going to fix this mess. Port-au-Prince is where we flew into, which was hit that hardest. It is crazy to think that this actually happend to a place that I have been too. I'm very happy that we are doing our best to help re-build, supply food, clothing, medical assistance, etc.
